Meaningful Use used to be a program that both Medicaid and Medicare doctors could participate in. However, in 2017, the Medicare Meaningful Use program was replaced with the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System, or MIPS, for Medicare-enrolled practitioners. For Medicaid-enrolled practitioners and hospitals, however, the Meaningful Use program continues.

Costs and Considerations:

Users pay either a monthly fee to purchase the Healthie platform based on type of usage and/or number of provider seats. Additional costs will be incurred by users electing to implement and use the features included under the Healthie Cures Update version certification. These one-time and/or ongoing monthly costs are based on the following factors: complexity of setup and maintenance, timeline to complete interface setup, amount of development resources required and ongoing services used and provided.
