Syntrillo needed a scalable EHR solution that could integrate with their proprietary technology
Syntrillo recognized that building an EHR solution from the ground up was both costly and wouldn’t be differentiating for their business.
Syntrillo, a telehealth clinic for stroke survivors, needed an efficient, scalable solution to seamlessly integrate their proprietary technology into an EHR platform. Syntrillo began building an in-house solution, explains COO Uribe, “we tried to build an app, and found that the development time and money spent was towards items that provided value, but didn’t add to the value of who Syntrillo is and our story. We are not an EHR company, we don’t need to be the ones to build the app, the EHR, etc.”
Syntrillo conducted an in-depth evaluation over several months, prioritizing solutions with advanced API capabilities and iframe integration. Syntrillo set up a full RFP process document, realizing they had hundreds of requirements, including the ability to embed their custom algorithms and displays into a seamless workflow. These tools are foundational to their care delivery model, and they needed a partner capable of supporting this level of customization. The iframe functionality was particularly critical, enabling Syntrillo to maintain ownership of their IP while embedding it directly into an EHR platform.
Ultimately, Healthie’s combination of robust technology and adaptability set it apart as the ideal partner, allowing Syntrillo to focus on patient outcomes without expending resources and reinventing existing tools.
Healthie empowers Syntrillo to streamline operations
Syntrillo leverages Healthie’s robust EHR and flexible integrations to focus in-house development resources on their custom algorithm and displays.
Healthie provided Syntrillo with a scalable solution that eliminated the need to build an EHR platform from scratch. “It’s hard to even quantify the time and resource allocation if we had built this solution ourselves, and whether it would work as needed,” shared Syntrillo’s COO, Omar Uribe. He continues, “we knew this was going to be a better option, both from a time and resource allocation perspective, and because the product could work as intended.”
Healthie’s open API, iframe integrations, and customizable workflows allowed Syntrillo to seamlessly embed their proprietary algorithms while utilizing essential EHR functionalities such as scheduling, onboarding, charting, and document management. One clinician noted the strength of Healthie’s task management feature, calling it significantly more powerful than alternatives they had previously used.
Healthie has transformed Syntrillo’s operations by streamlining communications with hospital systems, allowing partners to easily e-fax, upload, and store critical documents. The team is now expanding capabilities with Healthie’s Harbor, a marketplace of integrations. Syntrillo leverages e-Prescriptions via Dosespot, e-Labs and plans to leverage Zus for access to aggregated historical patient data. “Healthie has a ton of features and workflows, and we’re still maximizing utilization of the solution,” the COO remarked.
